All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.`` William Shakespeare

Subject Overview
In an uncertain world, driven by innovation, we need to equip our young people with the skills to solve problems of all kinds, especially those that do not come with instructions. At Shire Oak, Drama is not just a lesson for those who want to be on stage, we seek to impart skills that will enable our young people to flourish in their chosen path. Skills such as: confidence, concentration, language and communication skills, cooperation, teamwork, emotional intelligence and creativity.
Our Drama curriculum is designed to support the topics covered in KS3 English lessons, allowing students to access the intended learning in a more practical way. We also cover important life skills such as debate, public speaking and interviewing.
